Completing Onboarding
If onboarding is available, use it to record program context for planning prompts.
If onboarding is shown after registration, use it to record basic program context. That context can tailor planning prompts, but it does not determine which rules apply to your organization.
Step 1: Organization Details
Tell us about your organization:
- Organization Name: Your center, school, or program name
- Organization Type: Day care center, school, family day care, etc.
- State: This helps organize relevant state references for review
Step 2: Program Information
Select your meal program(s):
- CACFP: Child and Adult Care Food Program (year-round)
- SFSP: Summer Food Service Program (seasonal)
Record each program your organization currently operates, if requested.
CACFP and SFSP have different meal-pattern requirements. A program selection can configure planning checks, but you must confirm the applicable rules with current USDA guidance and your sponsor or state agency.
Step 3: Site & Age Groups
Configure your site settings:
- Age Groups Served: Select all age groups at your site (infants, toddlers, preschool, school-age, adults)
- Meal Types: Choose which meals you serve (breakfast, lunch, supper, snacks)
- Kitchen Equipment: Help us suggest appropriate recipes
Review Settings Later
Review the Settings area after onboarding and update any fields that are available to you when your program information changes.
